The story continues, but the end is in sight, or the beginning... uh...

The spica car seat is wonderful! When we first took Karver home from the hospital he wouldnt fit in his car seat. I am horrified thinking we wouldn't be able to drive him anywhere, but after searching the internet and some help from other mom's that have gone through similar things, I learned that you can call local hospitals and see if they have a SPICA carseat, made for kids in a spica cast. We called Ogden and they had one! As you can see it is not the most comfortable looking car seat ever, but its safe, and he fits!
We have been doing alot of things around the house to keep ourselves happy. Since we have been home and we dont have grandma Huot and Grandpa huot to help out, we have gotten a little creative. This karver "helping me with the dishes." I just handed him the silver wear and he put it in the tray! HOW NICE AND HELPFUL!! He loved it! I dont know if you can tell but he is in his wagon. I have decided that since I am three weeks away from my due date, it probably isnt the best idea for me to carry him around. But he really wants to be involved (what 2 year old wouldn't). So i drag him around the house in this wagon and he helps me do my chores! This is Karver helping with the laundry! He would hand me the cloths, when it was done, he would put the cloths back in! He is such a good helper!
This is Karver in his fantastic BEAN BAG CHAIR!!! He wanted to be outside, but it was TOO HOTT so i just set him infront of the window with some toys! It seemed to fill his craving for the outdoors!
Since Karver isnt moving around much and he isnt as active as he use to be, he doesnt eat as much as he used to. As you can see he has found "better" things to do with his snacks that just eat them. Mater will give them a ride.... then..
They will all pile inside a car and go for a ride!
he loves taking his fruit snacks on a ride on the kitchen counter! :)
I know i say this alot, but he has been soo strong and happy through this all. Whenever we see people and we get talking about what has happened, they always look at karver and say, well you still have a good smile on your face! He does! WOW!! I love this kid and am so proud of him!!

P.S. We got back from Primary Children's yesterday and the doctor said that his bone has moved again!! "Your femur just wants to be in a certain position!" Although it has moved again, it is not as bad as the first time, and it is starting to heal, which means that it wont be moving anymore in any direction, so we dont have to reset and recast again! CAN I HEAR A WOOT WOOT!!!
Anyway, the bone will first heal, then it will re-model itself. She said because he is soo young his bones can do that!! LUCKY!! We set a date to get his cast off on July 29th, 10 days after baby is due! He will then learn to crawl, then after a few weeks learn to walk, then he will have a limp for 4-6 months. She said after that he should be good as new! :) thanks for the prayers and keep them up! :)

thanks for the update! It was wonderful to see how you guys are managing! I have the "Karver box" already to go and I think I will just give it to your parents tonight so they can take it to you. They leave here on Monday, so it will probably get there faster that way anyhow.
I only have less than three weeks of radiation, so maybe I can sneak up there to help you after that.

Love to you guys!

That is great news that he will be able to have the cast off in a month. He is such a trooper, I love how he is being mommy's "helper", such a sweetheart! He will be such a good big brother!
That was such a great Fathers Day tribute, you are very blessed to have such amazing men in your life.
