"Not a popularity contest." Who wears the pants?

"Being a parent is not a popularity contest." This is a quote from the resent General Conference (which was AMAZING). Its true. Karver is at the age where he is not only learning from watching. He is not only learning from trial and error, but he is at the stage where I need to teach him. I am trying to teach him to clean up after himself, be soft, to be kind, to not through things at my face, without saying "mommy catch" first! And many more things. Unfortunately, because of this new stage in life, the words "time out" and "1-2-3" are becoming VERY popular around our house! Its not easey, and sometimes he doesnt like me because of it, but I know he needs to learn On the BIG PLUS-side he is learning, and I get to watch him do it. That is incredible!! I LOVE THIS KID!!

He is soo kind and loving to his little brother. If he ever hurts him it is because he just wants to play with him SOO BADLY! I have caught him trying to sing
him, kiss him, hug him, rock him (scary sight! :) and my personal favorite when Kason woke up from his nap I walked in Kason's room just in time to see Karver up on the side of Kasons crib reaching his little arm as far as he could while holding a binky! :) SOO CUTE!!!

My new craft projects. I really wanted more pictures of Christ and we nEED
ED the The Family: A Proclamation to the World" in our house! So I went to deseret book at let karver pic a picture o Christ. I picked one for Kason's room and did you know you can get the Proclamation for free at deseret book? Well I got those and a few frames from D.I. !! Spray paint, modge podge, black paper and WHAM-O-!!!!

Yup.. being a parent isnt a popularity contest, but it sure is fun!!

Who wears the pants at your house?? We have to many to keep track of! :)
(I was doing laundry and just couldnt resist!! This makes me smile! :)

Just as you are excited to see Karver grow and learn and see him do wonderful things for his brother, so I am excited and love to see how you and Jeremy are growing into parenthood and the joys that are found there.
Blessings come.... last conference we say PROPHETS SPEAK AND PROMISES MADE. And we know and are sure they are true!
Thanks for sharing your family.... hope we can see you soon. We can't travel for another week. Mom is huring this morning. We see the Dr. today.
