Sunday Sickness

I am home from church today with two sick boys... Well not REALLY REALLY sick, but getting over being sick, since I am the nursery leader I cant take a runny nosed coughy boy to nursery, and since Jeremy is teaching... I'm home with the boys.
So, what am I doing with my time at home, well
blogging
baking cookies to deliver later
and as of the last hour or so I have been trying to make my self feel better.... how? Well let me explain....
The other night I woke up in the middle of the night in the WORST pain I have ever been in...the WORST!!! I was throwing up and on the verge of passing out for nearly an hour... KIDNEY STONES!!!!!!!!Ahhhhhhhhhhhh my HERO (Jeremy) gave me a blessing which QUICKLY healed me and I was off to sleep within 10 min.

I have been thinking about this.... am i a pansy, a weakling, a wimp, a wuss, a frail thing? hmmm.... so I was going to find out.... that brings me to this time... researching this:

What do kidney stones feel like?
This is what I have found... :) and I am happy :)

*this is some of the worst pain you would ever feel
*the stones dropped me to my knees!
*extreme pain, nausea and vomiting occur
*EXCRUCIATING pain
*I wanted to die it hurt so bad and there was absolutely no letting up once the attack started. I was doubled over and could not stand straight.
*
Passing a large kidney stone can feel like a freight train ripping through your lower body.
*Unbearable." "Worse than labor.
*It WILL send you to the ER!!
*The worst pain I have EVER felt.

**** and my personal FAVORITE!!
"Excruciating, agonizing, debilitating, back-over-me-with-the-car-and-put-me-out-of-my-misery-now-please pain. "

Now that i feel better about myself, I am happy to say.. the pain has subsided, although I have NOT passed the stone/stones, it has moved to a more comfortable position for now!! :)

P.S. If any of you have experienced, or have seen somebody experience Kidney stones,, please feel free to add your input about the HORRIBLENESS of them :)

P.S.S. Lilly.. your my hero

I have only had one kidney stone once and it was by far the worst pain EVER!!!!! I had just delivered Will a week or two before so I knew what pain was... but this was WORSE!!!!!! I can remember that I was laying in the back bedroom and I called Morgan, who was in the kitchen in the phone, because I couldn't get up. I told him that the ambulence wouldn't even be fast enough because I would die of pain before they got there.... true story.
Happy ending: I am still here!!!
Love ya!!!!! Christa

My husband had them once. He REFUSES to go to the dr. But he woke up in the middle of the night and crawled to the bathroom and we went to the er twice that day! He thought death was imminent but of course once he passed them with a strong dose of morphine he was okay:).

Oh Ruth, I feel for yeah! I had 3 different kidney stones within 2 months while 7 months pregnant with Ellie. There is nothing worse then horrific kidney pain & an active baby pressing and moving around inside you. The first stone I had surgically removed but the other 2 I chugged a huge 2liter of Classic Coke and it dissolved the other 2 stones. it's really gross & you feel like you are gonna blow up from a coke overload but it saved me! Hope you feel better soon my luv!
