Primary Children's is wonderful! I feel like they really know what they are doing. I was excited to go there because whenever we go anywhere around here everybody just stares and says "WOW" haha I figured Primary Children's would be used to seeing this kind of thing and MUCH MUCH worse. We headed int he doors and the first thing we heard from a man waiting by the elevator was "WOW" hahaha! As we waited int he waiting room there were TONS of people there. Most of the little kids had casts on their arms! SO MANY LITTLE KIDS WITH CASTS! I tried to point them out to Karver and say, "look they have a cast, and so do you!" I heard one mom say as she pointed to Karver "Arent you glad you dont have to wear that?" All the kids would point to karver and say "WOW !!! mom look at that little kid!!!" So in the waiting room we got pretty much the same reaction we had been getting here, but as soon as we saw the doctor, things were MUCH BETTER!!! She came in and had the x-ray's in hand. She said it hadnt healed as well as she had hoped and she thought we should re-set and re-cast.
She explained why she thought it happened. She said that it was because the way the bone had broken and the way the muscles are pulling on the bone the bone just wont stay set. She will need to set a special cast. She was not SHOCKED by his situation, she never once said "He is just so small it will be difficult!" I was soo happy!! She seemed very confident! We set up an appointment for Friday and we will be doing the re-set there. I am not excited for the pain that will follow, and they have to put him under again! But we are excited to work with primary children's!
We were hoping to get it reset sooner, each day seems like a million when you are waiting for your child to get better, but the doctor said that this is the perfect time to reset! Here's to hoping!

This is such good news, and so much clearer than our texts. ha ha ha I know you guys will pull through. "On You will go though the weather be foul, On you will go though the Hacken Krack howl." Doctor Seuss 'Oh the Places You'll Go'. I know you can do this.

Thanks so much for the update. I think about you guys multiple times a day and I was glad to see everything went well while you were at Primary Children's. You guys are troopers and someday....yes, someday this will be a distant memory. For now though, I love how you keep looking at the positive side! You rock!!
Do you remember how you used to say, "Not it" when you were a teenager? I bet Karver wants to say, "Not it" somedays too! And then you can respond with.."A tear" (Morgan and I still quote that one... and the "I'm so embarrassed for you" one too)he he he
Love ya,
Christa
